Brief description of the main scopes: 

1. Investigation of lichenicolous fungi:
Lichenicolous fungi often occur discoloration or other malformations on the thalli of lichens. The focus of our investigations is the microscopic morphology of lichenicolous fungi and the distribution and host preferences.

2. Taxonomic investigation of Hungarian lichen flora:
With morphological and chemical investigations we are making taxonmic revisions with special attention of the genus Cetrelia, Cladonia, Lepraria and Xanthoparmelia.
